32RH, 36RH, and 37RH Automatic Transmissions

The Chrysler 32RH, 36RH, and 37 RH are three speed, fully automatic transmissions used in the 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks. The 32RH is used with 3.9L and 5.2L engines. The 36RH is used for heavy duty 5.2L and 5.9L engine applications. The 37RH is used with diesel and V10 engines.

A three element torque converter with a converter clutch is used with all three transmissions. The converter hub on 1993 and later models was changed to accept the new style drive flats on the oil pump inner gear. The new converter is not interchangeable with previous designs.

Converters used:

Mopar ATF+ type 7126 Fluid is recommended. Dextron II should only be used where Mopar ATF+ is not available.
