Tired of always finding the weather strip laying on top of the turbocharger
in the engine compartment? A bead of silicone rubber RTV in the weatherstrip
groove will keep the strip attached and eliminate the fire danger.
Red RTV or high strength gray RTV is my favorite for this type of work.
Black RTV would not be visible in the weatherstrip.

I used a piece of 2x4 between the weatherstrip and the air filter to
hold everything in place while the RTV cured. After several thousand miles,
the weathersrtip is still in place.
