1998+ Ram / Cummins 24 Valve ISB Horsepower and Torque Curves

ISB With Automatic Transmission
  • Peak Torque:  420 lb-ft (from 1600 to 2700 rpm)
  • Advertised Power: 215 hp @ 2700 rpm
  • Governed Speed: 3200 rpm

*The "governed speed" is the highest speed which produces useable power. Above the governed speed, engine power drops VERY quickly.

1998-2000 24 Valve Recommended Fuel

#1-D Diesel or #2 Fuel Oil (diesel) only.

Under emergency conditions, 1K & 2K Kerosene, Jet-A, Jet A-1, JP-5, and JP-8 may by used if 5% lube oil is added to the fuel. DO NOT run the VP44 Injection pump on these alternate fuels without the lube oil - pump damage is likely without a lube additive!

* FS19579 supersedes FS1268, which replaced FS1261 for 2000-2001 models
* 04883963AB is a new 2 micron fuel filter element, which must be used with the Chrysler ISB application.
The 2 micron filter replaced the 7 micron 04883963AA filter, which is no longer manufactured.

*Fuel lift pump 3990082 is a kit that includs pump #3990105, harness #4025182 and 2 sealing washers #3935171
