Bill had been trading email with the Turtle
Expedition team of Gary and Monika Wescott, and had offered them a
place to stay if they ever passed through Denver. A couple of months later,
Bill received a call from Gary Wescott. The Turtle Expedition was headed
for their home base in California after traveling for over 3 years around
the world (including Siberia in the winter!) and wanted to know if the
offer of a place to stay was still good. Of course it was!
They stopped by the next evening and the talk about preparing expedition
trucks and world travel lasted late into the night. A couple of weeks later,
Gary and Monika invited Bill to the SEMA show in Las Vegas and now they
are discussing the possibility of traveling together in the future.
